Couple Spotlight- Jordan and Stephanie

When picking your wedding theme, it is so fun to get creative and personalize your special day to be something perfect for you as a couple. Our beautiful Single Stone couple, Jordan and Stephanie, got married at Millwick in Downtown Los Angeles. Millwick was a nearly abandoned 80-year-old building that was transformed into a beautiful living oasis perfect for a wedding. The contrast of the industrial structure mixed with the lush greenery makes for such a unique and beautiful wedding space, we are obsessed. Scroll below for all of their stunning wedding photos and to read about Jordan and Stephanie’s love story!

Q:How did you and your fiancé meet?

A Blind Date. We were set-up through mutual friends who swore to Jordan that they knew the perfect girl for him.

Q: How did you know he/she was the one?

I don’t know if it was so much a moment, as much as it just feeling like a natural fit. We felt like we had known each other forever. I guess I knew he was the one when I couldn’t imagine my life without him and wanted him to be a part of all the little and big things in my future.

Q:How did he propose?

Jordan tagged along with me on a work trip to Maui. We extended an extra day on the back-end so I could have a day to relax. Since its Hawaii time, we naturally woke up super early so we decided to make the most of our day and go on a walk. We walked about a mile up the beach and ended up on our own little strip of beach with no one else around and he asked me to marry him. It was simple and perfect. No hidden photographers or people, it was just us and we got to sit on the beach and just enjoy the moment for an hour or so. My friends were all waiting back at the hotel for a brunch. It was everything that I hoped it would be.

Q:What was your favorite moment from your wedding?

That is so hard to say! Our wedding day was truly the most special and fun day of my life. If I had to pick a favorite moment, it would be our ceremony and my dad marrying us. We worked with him to create and personalize the ceremony to blend our personal elements with certain traditional elements. It was really special.

Couple Spotlight- Justin and Carly

There’s something  romantic about the fall season. Crisp air, the leaves turning, and the holidays around the corner.  It makes us want to cozy up with our loved ones by the fire with a warm cup of hot cocoa . Our beautiful Single Stone couple took advantage of the outdoors with their beautiful engagement photos in Aspen Colorado. Get ready to swoon because we seriously can’t get enough!

Q:How did you and your fiancé meet?

We met in the beautiful little town of San Luis Obispo, where Justin is from and where I was attending college. We had a bunch of mutual friends and had been at a handful of the same events but had never really met. One night his band was playing in my town, he invited me to the show and afterwards he came over to my apartment for our first official hangout…….and then ended up staying for 2 weeks. haha! I guess you could say it was a successful hangout 😉 Almost ten years later, here we are!

Q: How did you know he/she was the one?

He always says he knew I was the one when we went on our first dinner date and I ordered a giant burger instead of a salad! I would say I knew it was something very special on our first valentine’s day (before we were actually officially a couple). He was living 4 hours away at the time and my girlfriend talked me in to going to a romantic dinner with her, since we both were alone on valentine’s day and pouting about it. When I walked up to the restaurant to meet her, there he was instead, sitting outside waiting for me with flowers. No one had ever done something like that for me. And after all these years, there are countless moments like those that just affirm that you have found your person.

Q:How did he propose?

Our favorite quick getaway from L.A. has always been The Parker in Palm Springs. This year for my birthday, he took me there and got us our favorite room. Our favorite thing to do in the mornings there is to order a french press of coffee, and sit out on the balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens in our robes. I had zero idea it was coming, but that morning, on my birthday, as we sat out in our favorite spot in our robes, he asked me to marry him.

Q:What was your first reaction when you saw your ring?

After about 5 minutes of uncontrollable sobbing after he proposed, Justin was like “You haven’t even looked at the ring yet!!!” Haha! I was too emotional and excited to even think about it, but once I saw it….I could not believe it actually belonged to me. I have looked at my share of rings over the years, but this was better than anything I could have EVER dreamed up for myself. The fact that Justin picked it out all on his own (with help from the amazing Arielle) and picked something that is so me makes it that much more special and is just a testament to how well he really does know me. Every time I get a compliment on it, I just light up inside.

Q:Any other things you would like to share..

Working on hundreds of weddings for other people through my graphic design studio moochie creative, and the fact that we have been a couple for almost a decade, I thought that when the time came for my own wedding, that some of the luster would have worn off. But I could not have been more wrong! This has truly been the most joyous season of my life and I am so excited for a new chapter in our story.

Couple Spotlight – Chelsea and Kyle

We have been looking forward to sharing with you these beautiful engagement photos from our Single Stone couple, Chelsea and Kyle. This adorable and adventure seeking couple are high school sweethearts. They have decided that after spending 15 years together, it was the perfect time to make it official and travel the world together! To hear more about their love story and see their beautiful wedding photos, scroll below!

Q:How did you and your fiancé meet?

Kyle and I met in middle school. I had the biggest crush on him, but we didn’t start dating until high school.

Q:How did you know he/she was the one?

I guess as a super dramatic pre-teen, I knew he was “the one” the minute I laid eyes on him. HAHA. But over time, we became “each other’s person.” We went from being kids together to being adults. It blows my mind but at of our wedding, we had known each other half our lives. Watching him grow over all these years but never losing his kindness, playfulness and willingness to change his mind is what gives me hope that he will always be the one for me.

Q:How did Kyle propose?

Getting married wasn’t something we both dreamed of. After 15 years together, we were happy with our lives and didn’t really see a reason to get married. To us marriage had always felt like a “supposed to” and we weren’t into that. We dealt with our families for years, asking “when are you two going to finally get married?” We would respond with, “never!” But January rolled around and we both needed something new and exciting. A year full of love and adventure, we decided. Let’s get married and travel the globe!

Q:What was your favorite moment from your wedding?

We have so many favorite moments from our wedding. We had a very small intimate wedding of 18 people, which definitely caused some difficult conversations, but in the end was the right thing for us. Our close friend married us and his remarks were amazing, so funny and wonderfully personal. My baby sister, Kacy, took charge of the wedding planning with me and made sure the day was incredible. The friends who attended used their wonderful, artistic skills every chance they got to add more flair and love to all aspects of the day. Kyle’s cousin, Madi, is a tap dancer and she killed it on the dance floor to a Ciara song during the reception.  I think having an intimate wedding makes everyone feel special, you’re a part of something and you matter, you aren’t one in a sea of people. Kyle and I, whether together or separately got to have moments, real moments with everyone there. And we remember every single one of them!

Q: Any other things you would like to share..

Kyle wanted me to have a say in my ring, but he did actually pick out the one that is now my wedding ring. He took me to Single Stone to try it on and it was beyond perfect. I love antiques. I love the fact that something has a story and a life long before us. My ring is from around 1910 and the craftsmanship blows me away every time I look at it. Everyone at Single Stone was wonderful, especially Arielle. She was so genuinely excited for us and made us more excited about the entire thing. After my grandparents passed away, both their wedding rings were left to my sister. She so beautifully offered my grandfather’s ring to Kyle. He was thrilled! Single Stone lovingly resized it for us. They were kind and gracious throughout the whole process. We couldn’t have been happier to find them!

Couple Spotlight- Matthias and Megan

We are so excited to share with you these fabulous non-traditional black and white engagement photos from our Single Stone couple Matthias and Megan. This adorable and adventure seeking couple have been together for five years and intend to see all the modern wonders of the world together. To hear more about their love story and scroll through their amazing engagement shoot scroll below!

Q:How did you and your fiancé meet?

We met at USF (University of San Francisco) when I was a sophomore and Matthias was a junior. Some may argue that we were children when we met…and they would be right; I was only 19! We had mutual friend groups and only knew of each other during those first couple of years of undergrad. Once upon a time Twitter was a hot social media platform that Matthias decided to use break the ice with me and responded to my tweet about watching the Wizard of Oz (because what else do you do when you watch the Wizard of Oz with your mother during the holiday season?) I quickly shut down his attempt to Twitter message me and sent him my phone number so he could text me like a normal person trying to get to know someone else. We officially went on our first “casual hangout date” a few weeks later when we were back on campus for second semester! We casually hung out for about a year and then realized that we may as well call each other what we were…a couple.

Q:How did you know he/she was the one?

He puts up with me! Just kidding (but he still does). This is a hard one because I feel like we’ve been together for so long that I don’t really think there was one moment that I realized he’d be my husband. Rather, there are so many things that more “solidified” that we were a perfect team that unfolded over these past 5 years. Matthias is whole heartedly passionate about music and technology (video games and the fact that we have a smart apartment and I have to talk to everything to turn things on) which counterbalances my love for fashion and constant travel planning. We love spending time together but we still have our independent lives and understand how important it is in our relationship. Obviously we mesh our lives together in almost every way at some point, but it’s good to know that I still have my girls and he still has his buddies and we can have so much fun without each other too (as long as we come home to each other at the end of it :))

Q:How did he propose?

We went up to the San Juan Islands in Washington state over labor day weekend 2016 to visit Matthias’ parents for the long weekend/RELAX. We always hike Mount Guemes which is more like a small mound (half a mile hike to the top) and woke up on Saturday morning to do so. We were supposed to have terrible rainy weather that weekend but the sun was shining which I thought worked in our favor because NOBODY was hiking the mountain (which was a rare occasion). Little did I know quite a few people on the island knew what was about to happen and refrained from going on that hike in the morning! We get to the top and as I was turned around trying to find the best place to take our picture that we always take, he pulled out the fabulous navy, Single Stone box. I naturally said yes after asking a few times “Are you sure? Like absolutely serious?” (It’s REALLY hard to surprise me, and he did)

Q:What was your first reaction when you saw your ring?

Matthias was a smart man and knew that he would need a little help in the ring department. Right after our trip to Peru last May, Matthias mentioned that I should probably find 4-5 rings that I would wear so that he had options when the time came. I quickly explained that we would be lucky if I found ONE ring that I would wear because I’m so particular. When we finally walked in to Single Stone and I had tried on the Colette in gold with an old European cut center stone. I quite literally could have tried on any other ring and wouldn’t have flinched. I understood that to find that exact stone in weight, color, clarity, etc. it could take a while if that exact ring was sold but the timeline we discussed allowed for more than enough time (I thought that later this year, in 2017, this would have been potentially happening). Fast forward to 2 short months after that day, almost to the day on September 3rd, I saw that ring again and was stunned. It now feels so at home on my left ring finger!

Q: Any other things you would like to share..

We are determined to see the whole world! Matthias grew up in London for 7 years (age 11-18) and thank goodness he got his citizenship! If there isn’t an international trip on the horizon we get (I get) pretty antsy and we’ve been fortunate enough to have been on an international trip every year since 2012. We’re trying to see all of the modern wonders of the world with other, off the beaten track places, in between. We are getting married on September 23rd in San Francisco so that our friends and family can experience our home base when we aren’t out of office. Next up on our travel list is Walla Walla, Washington for our minimoon, Whistler, Canada for a Christmas ski trip and Italy for the honeymoon in April 2018!

Couple Spotlight- Frank and Ashton

One of our favorite things to celebrate with our clients are their love stories! Today we are sharing the romantic love story of Frank and Ashton.

Q: How did you meet?

Frank grew up in a military family and moved around frequently. When his Dad retired from the Marines, his family settled in a small town in Virginia, where my family lived. Frank’s little sister and my little sister met not long after his family moved to our small town when they were on the same recreational soccer team. Through weekly soccer practices and games, our sisters immediately became best friends. Frank’s sister, my sister, and I had many sleep overs together as kids and generally did everything together until she moved away to live with her mom in PA. Oh the stories we have from fishing, to dress up, swimming in ponds, and so on.

Frank was always around, but we didn’t do much with him, as he was several years older. He was just that “big brother” that the girls didn’t really care about – he did his own thing, and we did ours. Frank and I continued to grow up alongside each other; we eventually attended the same high school, but we were merely acquaintances. We lost touch when Frank left for college.

Q: How did you know he/she was the one?

On August 31, 2014 things changed – that’s when Frank, out of the blue, reached out to me to see how I was. We nonchalantly chatted here and there and eventually, Frank mentioned we should get coffee and catch up. I was not amused, and in fact, quite against it all. I really wasn’t interested in a relationship with him at the time, and I had a feeling that’s what his intentions were. But I continued to talk to him! We talked, and we talked, and eventually I found myself driving to two hours to see Frank for the first time in years.

Through so much conversation, I already had a feeling that he was the one. That was quickly confirmed for both of us after spending our first weekend together. Frank and I dated long distance for not quite a year while I finished my master’s degree and he continued working as a Nuclear Engineer in the Navy. When Frank received orders to Millington, TN we knew that our only option was for me to move with him. So I did.

Q: How did Frank Propose?

In December 2015 Frank and I traveled from Tennessee, where we currently live, to Virginia to spend the holidays with our family. Christmas Day we were at his Dad’s house and I accidentally found my engagement ring in his suitcase. We were headed to my mom’s for dinner when I told Frank I didn’t approve of the shirt he was wearing. In typical Frank fashion, he said “Fine, go get something you like!”. So I hurried up the stairs to his bedroom, opened his suitcase, pulled out a shirt, and BAM! there was a ring box.

I paused…do I open it and look or not? You better believe I opened it!

I rushed back downstairs, gave Frank his shirt, and off we went to my mom’s house for dinner. The entire time in the back of my head I was thinking, “Do I say something?!” The evening went on, we ate dinner, and I didn’t say a word…not until after dessert when we were all relaxing in the family room when I casually mentioned to Frank, “Hey, we need to talk. I found the ring in your suitcase.” Frank was not happy.
A few days later Frank and I traveled to Pennsylvania to visit his mom, sister, step dad, and step brother. That was the quietest road trip of my life. Frank still wasn’t happy – I mean, I just found my engagement ring! The ring you’re supposed to SURPRISE your girlfriend with. Of course he was upset. However, once we were there, Frank could not wait to show the ring to his mom and sister. Let’s just say I’ve been wearing it ever since his mom said “Honey, you better put that on and never take it off! It’s a lot safer on your finger than in his suitcase!”

Frank and I eloped March 22, 2016 in a private ceremony. We just couldn’t wait to get married! We are currently preparing for an exchanging of vows and wedding celebration in June on my family’s farm in Virginia. Family and friends are extremely important to us and we are so excited to share this special moment with those we love most. It isn’t often that we can all be together.

Couple Spotlight- Ingrid and Jason

Q: How did you meet?

Jason and I were introduced by a dear friend during a University of Minnesota Homecoming football game in 2013. Little did we know, that dear friend had a knack for matchmaking! It was a rainy Saturday afternoon and I decided the Library Bar was the perfect (dry) place to enjoy the game. I ran into all kinds of old friends at “The Library”, including a sorority sister who I hadn’t seen in years. After catching up and learning I was single, she told me she had the PERFECT guy I just HAD to meet. Meanwhile, Jason had braved the weather and was at the stadium. This friend had been texting him saying that she had the PERFECT girl he just HAD to meet! Before I knew it, Jason showed up at the bar and we hit it off right away. We had our first date the following week and the rest is history!

Q:How did you know he/she was the one?

I knew Jason was the one about 2 months after we started dating. He found out he was being relocated from Minneapolis to Cincinnati for work and it made things between us get serious very fast. We made long distance love work for just over 2 years, and truthfully, it brought us closer than we could have imagined! We made seeing each other a priority during that time and racked up a lot of Delta SkyMiles doing so 🙂

 Q:How did he propose?

Jason’s proposal was perfectly us.  It happened as we were finishing up one of our favorite things to do as a couple – cooking dinner together. We were almost done with the dishes when Jason slipped away and grabbed the ring. He came up behind me and said “Sweetheart, turn around, I have a surprise for you!” When I turned around he was down on one knee with a stunning Single Stone ring I had just so subtly hinted I wanted, and I was so excited I couldn’t even get a “Yes!” out. We spent the night together, just the two of us, and told our families and friends the next day. It was simple and perfect.

Q: What was your wedding like?

When we began wedding planning, Jason and I knew we wanted three things: to be on the water, to honor our strong family ties, and to host a mini getaway for our guests. Bayfield, Wisconsin was the perfect match in our search for a location: my parents were married there nearly 30 years ago, you can’t get closer to Lake Superior, and it’s the perfect destination for a celebration. The meaning of the place and the view from our venue steered a lot of the creative vision for the wedding overall. I loved the idea of simple and timeless with meaningful touches throughout. I made our escort cards out of stones from Lake Superior while spectacular vistas of the lake and the Apostle Islands served as our backdrop for the whole wedding. We tied Bayfield into our invitation suite by using vintage maps of Lake Superior as our envelope liners, and we sent our guests home with blueberry jam favors from a local orchard. We danced the night away with family and friends in a clear tent under the stars.

Q:What was your favorite moment from your wedding?

We both agree that our favorite moment from the wedding was seeing each other for the first time. We planned our first look to be in the woods on the shore of Lake Superior. The weather was absolutely flawless, and any nerves either of us had were completely calmed at that moment. It truly felt like nothing else mattered at that point in time.

A Picture Perfect Proposal

One of our favorite things to celebrate with our clients are their proposals! We feel so privileged to be able to be a part of such a special occasion and love to celebrate the love that each and every couple has for one another.

Meet one of our newest Single Stone Couples, Nick and Paulette. Nick proposed to Paulette in the south of France with a beautiful custom Savannah ring. Here, Nick tells us about how they met, the proposal, and more!

Processed with VSCO with a5 preset

Q: How did you meet?

We actually first met through my younger sister Wendy. Wendy and my fiancé Paulette became best friends when they were in college together at College of Charleston. Eventually, after she graduated, Paulette moved up to New York City where I was living. We had met before, but hadn’t really spent time together, and we had each previously been involved in other relationships. We connected immediately when we spent more time together in NYC, and when my sister gave both of us her blessing and encouragement, I asked Paulette on our first date. The rest is history!

Q: Tell us about the proposal!

After spending a couple of days in Aix-en-Provence, we left for a surprise destination… I had booked a couple of nights at a great hotel in Eze, near Nice.  Once we arrived, we took a little stroll around the gardens, and then got ready for dinner. I snuck out and gave my phone to one of the concierge so that she could take secret video footage of the coming proposal. After we were ready, we walked down to a beautiful platform in the garden overlooking the Mediterranean to enjoy the view, and that’s where I proposed!

Q:What did she think of the ring?

She absolutely LOVES the ring, and I could not have been more proud and happy to finally give it to her. It was an extreme test of my patience to keep it tucked away in our apartment for so long- especially given how badly I wanted her to see it and how excited I was to propose. It was such a special moment, and hers is such a special ring- she talks about how much she adores it every day, and it makes me so happy to catch her admiring it.

Congratulations you two! Thank you for sharing your love story with us!

Couple Spotlight- Zack and Delsie

Q: How did you meet?

When Zack was 19 and I was 16, he worked at Family Video in our little hometown. I went in late one night to drop off some movies, and he was there working by himself. The rest is history! He actually asked my friend for her number, so I thought he was going to chase after her…until he asked her for my number later that evening. We connected right off the bat, and though it took us some years to find our way back to each other, we both think it was worth the wait!

Q: How did you know he/she was the one?

Zack claims he knew from the very beginning. 🙂

The moment that I revisit every time I’m asked this question is one evening when we were together late at night—Zack had gotten off work at almost midnight, so we spent a lot of late nights together since our schedules were so different—and on this particular night, it was so late that everything we did and said was funny. We stayed up until almost 5 in the morning laughing at anything and everything. Zack has always been so easy for me to connect with, but this night was so much fun that I knew it was how I wanted to spend the rest of my life. I wanted to smile and love life every day, and I knew that with him in my life, this would be as easy as breathing.

Q: How did he propose?

The two of us took a beach trip to North Carolina in March of 2015. It was perfect weather all week, until the day he planned on proposing; then, it became chilly and dreary. It rained all day the day before we were to head home. I was bummed because I wanted to go to the beach with him, and I was afraid we were going to be rained out. When it stopped, I was bound and determined that no matter how cold and dark it was, we were going to go walk on the beach together. Since it had rained all day, when we got there, the beach was completely empty. There was no one there but the two of us. We walked for a little while, then down to the water…that’s when it happened. It was so peaceful and intimate, and I never thought I would be so thankful for a rainy day at the beach!

Q: What was your favorite moment from your wedding?

Both of us agree that our favorite part of our day was when we saw each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle. On our wedding day, I didn’t get nervous or upset or worked up a single time. Everything was so easy and smooth, and I couldn’t wait to see him. I was an emotional wreck. I teared up at the slightest little thing, as I was in such disbelief at how lucky I am to spend the rest of my life with the perfect man. I knew I was emotional, but not until the church doors opened and I walked down the aisle did I realize how emotional Zack was, too. His face was so priceless. And at that point, no one else mattered.

A Maui Proposal!

One of our favorite things to celebrate with our clients are their proposals. We feel so privileged to be able to be a part of such a momentous occasion. Meet one of our recent Single Stone Couples, Jordan and Stephanie. Jordan proposed to Stephanie in Maui with a one of a kind vintage cluster ring. Judging by the picture below we think it is safe to say Stephanie LOVED it! Here, Jordan tells us about picking out the perfect ring and more!

Stephanie and I met on a blind date (set-up through our family friends) and have been together for about 2.5 years. I know it’s cliche, but I knew she was the one for me on our first date. She made me feel so at ease and so confident in what we could have and turned out to be.

After daily Instagram tags of all the Single Stone rings she liked, I finally made an appointment to take her to look at the store. She and I both fell in love with a vintage ring she saw and I ended up buying the ring that afternoon and storing it while I plotted the best way and time to make it happen. She only had one rule, no one else could be around when I proposed. I wasn’t sure how I could arrange that considering our families are so big, our schedules so packed and our down time so little.

Stephanie had a work event scheduled for mid-April in Maui and I knew this was the perfect place and opportunity to propose. I rearranged my schedule so I could join her on the trip. She had work commitments Tuesday-Saturday night but we were booked on a red-eye on Sunday night. Sunday morning we woke up at the crack of dawn and went on a beach walk. After about 2 miles of gorgeous beaches and morning joggers, we ended up on this little strip of beach with not a visible person in site. We sat on the beach enjoying the sunrise and truly feeling like it was just the two of us. I had to somehow get her to stand-up so I asked her to go for a swim. She stood up and headed for the water and I got down on one knee and asked her if she wanted to hang out with me for the rest of her life and if she would marry me. She said YES and then yes yes yes when she saw it was her dream Single Stone ring! We spent another hour on the secluded beach then headed back to a champagne brunch her friends and I had arranged at the hotel. Our red-eye flight ended up getting cancelled so we were able to spend an extra day enjoying our exciting news and avoiding real life just a little bit longer!!

We could not be happier for these two and wish them a lifetime full of love and happiness!

Couple Spotlight- Brian and Brit

Today we are excited to introduce our newest Single Stone Couple, Brian and Brit! This adorable duo met while teaching as camp counselors and the rest was pretty much history. To see their love story and incredibly romantic wedding scroll below!

Q: How did you meet?

Brit and I both worked as camp counselors at a summer camp in Indiana- Camp Tecumseh YMCA- in 2010. We were both working with the same age group of kids and met during staff training. We bonded pretty quickly and over the course of the summer our friendship turned romantic. We started dating at the end of the summer and the rest is history!

Q: How did you know he/she was the one?

Brian: Funny story- I actually had a girlfriend at the start of camp that summer. It didn’t take long to realize there was something about Brit. She always made me feel home wherever we were. I’m not great with words and emotions but over the course of the early part of the relationship, my feelings became obvious to me and everyone around. Later that year I was sitting at home and it all clicked- I knew I had to hold on to this one forever.

Brit: There was something about Brian from the moment I met him. I’m not sure if I believe in love at first sight, but I was drawn to him like I’d never been drawn to anyone before. Every time I was around him that summer, I knew it was different and he was somebody worth pursuing (despite the obvious obstacle). I’m not exactly positive when I knew for sure he was the one, but it’s safe to say I was the first to know 🙂

Q: How did he propose?

Brian’s story:

Brit had told me that when I was ready to pop the question, I should reach out to her best friend, Corinne, for ring help. Corinne and I spent hours scouring the web, and she stumbled upon Single Stone. In total guy move, I went into Single Stone the week we left for Europe. Thankfully, Molly set me up with the ring of Brit’s dreams. Props to Corinne!

Brit and I had a trip planned to Europe, and I decided to propose on the trip. I had asked Brit where she thought the most romantic place in the world is, and she said “Paris.” So, on our trip, I planned to propose at the Eiffel Tower. I was super calm and didn’t show my nerves at all (sarcasm), and right as the sun set behind the Eiffel Tower, I asked her to marry me.

Brit’s story:

We spent a very long day in Paris touring the Palace of Versailles. On the train ride home, Brian implored me to get ready quickly so we could go take dressed-up pictures before our scheduled dinner. I was NOT having it. I wanted to nap so badly, but Brian was being super weird about wanting to take these pictures (we had been to the Eiffel Tower twice already), so I agreed to go. Glad I did!

Q: What was your favorite moment from the wedding?

After we finished taking our post-ceremony pictures, we went back to cabin where we had all gotten ready to wipe off some sweat before introductions- it was the hottest Labor Day weekend on record in Indiana. When we got inside the cabin, we found our entire bridal party and most of our immediate family jamming out and passing around a handle of Fireball. Many of the groomsmen were in a band with Brian, and one (Rob) played us down the aisle on acoustic guitar. It was so much fun having everyone reunited in a moment we did not plan!

Q: Anything else you want to share?

We invited the Director of Camp Tecumseh to be our officiant for the wedding. He was the one who hired us both to work that summer. It was meaningful to have everything come full circle.
